How do I get the AI to fly through waypoints on campaign missions?

How do you get the AI planes to begin to fly through the mission waypoints on Escort, and Ground attack missions? I am now in campaign mode, and When I try to fly an escort mission, the bombers just circle my home base.

 

When I fly ground attack missions, I am the only plane flying in to the target. How can I have my wingmen follow and also have escort protection?

When you fly escort mission bombers should start their mission automatically when you take off. You can`t order them.

You mean that your wingmen stay on the runway won`t follow you to the air? If that is the case it is known bug. No other option than take a new mission and try again.

 

Tilde key gives you orders menu that you can use to command your wingmen.
