1./KG4_ArthurMimo Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Hi everyone, I couldn't find this when Googling through the boards so I thought I'd ask directly. I have no experience with Rise of Flight so I don't know how the engine works very well. I was wondering if there is some setting that I could bind to have my head look forward without changing the zoom (and/or without changing the head position). In War Thunder that's a default button and you can use it to look around, track another plane/landmark and then go back to navigating or dogfighting. But in BOS I have only found a command that also resets zoom and head position, so I basically have to reseat the pilot every time. I've also tried 'Snap to head position forwad' and 'Snap head position to center', but while these put the head in the proper position, the head looks up instead of down the reticule. (I am currently at work/lunch break so I can't look up the commands I've tried exactly) So, which of the commands just lets the pilot's head face forward? While I'm at it, which of the camera/mouse settings speeds up the head movements for rotating? I've tried the camera speed, but I'm not sure it has had any effect. It's so slow you can't use it to track anyone. Cheers, Arthur
=LD=Penshoon Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Hold down the button for the camera position you want to use and use Insert, Home, Delete, End, Page Up & Page Down to move the head to the position you want to save and press F10 to save your new modified view, works for any camera position bind. Sokol1 Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) Use "Pilot head snap position: center"* - default keys is Numpad 5 - Besides this I assign a Joystick button and right mouse button for this function, the last for the case of use mouse for panning. This control return the pilot POV for gunsight, without alter the zoom. * Settings > Pilot head control If what you are looking for is move the pilot POV for previous position, e.g. you are looking at compass, then move the POV to check six and desire that the POV move back to compass I dont know how (In il-2'46 is possible do this with NewView).
