Bert_Foster Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 I think the modelling of the ATA/BOOST limiting in the MC202 is in error. At present the ATA achievable is 1.45 just by selecting full throttle. This I think is in error the normal limit should be 1.35 As I interpret the Italian MC202 manuals 1.45 is only achievable (The " +100mm" function) by pressing the red button on top of the throttle this then resets the ATA/boost limit to 1.45. The manual imposes a 1 minute limit at 1.45ATA To achieve this a separate Boost or WEP keybinding is needed in BOS. So A keybinding to select the various RPM limits M,A and S is required and a separate key to enable WEP/+100
150GCT_Veltro Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) It's a compromise i think because the italian engine is a bit complicated to reproduce. However you are right, and +100 would be a nice addition. Edited August 28, 2015 by 150GCT_Veltro

However you are right, and +100 would be a nice addition. Is it not a licensed-built DB601 with different propeller automation/control mechanism? What are some of the substantial differences between a Daimler-Benz manufactured DB601 and an Alfa-Romeo manufactured DB601?
Jade_Monkey Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 It feels much more different to me, especially the responsiveness to the throttle when looking at ATA. Not saying its wrong, i have no clue about the subject. It would be great if someone with some knowledge explained how to deal with this engine in game.

Luke provided some notes on flying the 202 but they are "pilot notes" and not "technical notes." I believe they are in the Tutorials/Manuals subforum.
