Lens flare effect

Does anybody knows how disable "lens flare effect" in game?

Not sure about lens flare but you can turn off bloom in the startup.cfg file in the game folder by changing the 1 to a 0.

Can't turn lens flare effect off.  I wish you could as not every screenshot is desired to look photographic.

We were able to do this in RoF, but it only works over there in the "mods on" mode that we don't have (yet) in BoS.  Haven't tried it in BoS for that reason (but it might be interesting to try just in case it works over here and we just think it won't).

I tried it, but didn't work.   It's the same file in the same directory as RoF (checked with the .gtp file), but simply putting it there it's of no use. I think we need the "mods on", I hope the devs will enable it, if only for this "cosmetic" things.
