Custom skin in MP

Sorry if this has been already discussed...but I cannot find an answer.

I'd liket op know if we can use different custom skin in MP missions...I mean, if there is a squad, can each pilot get the same skin with different insigna/numbers? Just to make easier to recognize teammate

I think it would work the same way it does in RoF, i.e., if someone makes a set of skins for your squad like that, then each of your squad members could use them.  Would be pretty easy to do, once you decide on what your general squad markings will be and what you want the individualized symbol or number scheme to be.

does everyone else in the server see it if they havent downloaded the skins though?

You only see skins that you have downloaded to your HDD so for squad mates to see your skin they would all need the whole squad 'skinpack', to others on the server the default skins will show

 

This was the reason for the official 'community' skin packs in RoF which was mainly community organised by some very helpful RoF members, however I understand that it did involve a huge amount of work to organise and keep up to date, but it was appreciated by all
