Strike fighters 2/ Israeli Air War

I started watching "Battlefields" on Youtube and kinda found it fascinating how important air power was specifically over the wars Israel fought. Not to mention the backdrop of the wars essentially being a relatively new nation (Israel) having its back up against the wall in the majority of these conflicts and how losing just one of them meant certain destruction of the nation. You can't be playing for higher stakes than that.

 

Now I'm not trying to be super political, I just wanted to ask this community if they have ever played a very good sim (good being "as realistic FM, DM, Weapon model as possible" like DCS or il2 lvl of realistic) based on these conflicts. I found Strike Fighters 2 but not sure if there is some other game out there that possibly does this better.

 

 

Also any air combat sims on the Korean War would be nice.

If you like the Korean War aircraft, check out DCS (Digital Combat Simulator).  It's about as close as you can get to Korean war air combat on a more immersive level.  You do have to buy the aircraft separately, and there are no Korean War maps, theaters, or campaigns.  Just aircraft and some weapons, everything else is modern.  Tanks, AAA, other aircraft.

 

There is War Thunder that has Korean War era aircraft and some Korean War maps, but it's based off of Aces High and isn't very immersive to me.  But here you'll find era specific maps, tanks, AAA, aircraft, etc...

 

Pulling nothing on the Israeli wars though, strike fighters might be the only one.  Sorry.

I have some of the Strike fighters titles.  Flight modelling is very much simplified and things like aircraft trim are not included.  There is still a fun game in there though if you put the effort in.  I just wish the terrible voice actors could be changed and that not every nationality used the same American accent.

The voices can be changed and I have an Israeli voice pack (+ some others)

SF2:I is one of my favorite game, once it is correctly modded.
