Can anyone tell me why I do not have a skins folder in my Steam version?

Shouldnt the file structure be the same inside your steamapps as in the retail installation?

I don´t have it installed on Steam but have you checked your "X:\steam\steamapps\common\" folder to see if there´s the normal file structure of BoS inside?

If I´m not wrong it should look like this: X:\steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\data\graphics\skins

Maybe someone with an installation on Steam can confirm / correct this as I´ve not installed it on Steam.

I'm on steam and I don't have a skins folder in that location or anywhere else in the installation.  Can't seem to use custom skins at all.

Any help appreciated as I've just about finished my own custom skin and will be somewhat disgruntled  if I can't use it lol :(

Hello, first try to remember where did you install the game(s)?!

In "steam" you are not obliged to install the game into steam you can install it anywhere on any drive into your computer.

Make a search for "battle of Stalingrad" or any other game of the series you did buy on your "PC" not only on your C drive.

Once you found the game you can find the custom skins if you installed/downloaded any! into the data/graphics/skins/   in that folder you should find a folder for each plane of the game(s) you have.

It should be in "IC Games Studios" folder in "Programs (x86)". "Skins" file is in "data > graphics".

Hi guys

Thanks for the replies but I checked in the graphics\data folder and skins folder was missing so I created a skins folder then created a folder inside that with the name of the aircraft I was skinning and now it's working.

It seems the skins folder is missing in the steam version so you just need to create it yourself.

Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.

Thanks
