taffy2jeffmorgan Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Hi All. With a fighter armed with two under wing bombs, how do I get them to drop simultaneously ? at the moment in settings I have a stick button assigned to bomb, but have to press twice to get them both to fall. Would the answer be in " Bomb Mode" Cheers.
-TBC-AeroAce Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I often wonder about this. U cant drop bombs together on the fighters which I would assume is wrong. For example on the 109 there is a bomb panel which I would assume has that function. I might be wrong but I just thought it was a feature that has not been implemented. Can somebody with better knowledge please comment on this
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Page 33 of manual: Bombs:- To drop bombs, press the B key (Drop bombs). By default, this command will drop one bomb with every press of the key.- To adjust the number of bombs that will be dropped with the Drop bombs command, press the Left Windows + B key combination (Drop bombs mode toggle). In most planes that have this feature, an indicator in the cockpit will show the current release setting. The best way to see how this feature works is to enable the on-screen technical messages (see Section 5.1 for more information).- By default, your bombs are armed at the start of each mission. To disarm your bombs, press the Left Windows + S key combination (Bombs safety switch).
TP_Jacko Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 (edited) I thought there was a key command in the weapons for that cycle bomb salvo or something like it where it changes from single to pairs each time you hit the button. There is one for rockets that works. LoL just saw VR_Stick gave the answer S! Edited August 17, 2015 by TP_Jacko
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Rockets: - To launch rockets, press the R key (Launch rockets). By default, this command will launch one rocket with every press of the key. - To adjust the number of rockets that will be fired with the Launch rockets command, press the Left Windows + R key combination (Launch rockets mode toggle). In all rocket-armed planes, an indicator in the cockpit will show the current release setting. The best way to see how this feature works is to enable the on-screen technical messages (See Section 5.1 for more information). Same page
taffy2jeffmorgan Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 In flight the left windows key + B [ bomb mode] does nothing ?
-TBC-AeroAce Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Yes the toggle bomb drop amount only works for bombers
TP_Jacko Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 In flight the left windows key + B [ bomb mode] does nothing ? I would not use the windows key try and edit a different combination of keys
VBF-12_Stick-95 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 It depends on the plane, especially fighters. For example, some only drop in pairs (Yak) others single (LaGG).

Thanks, yes your right, the Yak seems to be the only single engine fighter to drop both bombs together. So no real point in trying to assign keys for other fighters as it seems to be fixed in the sim ? I'll have to pay more attention in future !! Cheers.
