Thank you!

Thanks for undeserved compliments.

Give compliments tho who made those awesome .psd layered base templates. The rest is matter of passion, patience and historical research. I was a plastic modeler before...so i have already a good archive :)

I never realized how interesting the story of the Macchi 202 was... Thanks to Baron's brilliant artwork, combined with the historical assistance of Vespa et.al., I'm really coming to love this aircraft and its interesting history :)

In cooperation with Vespa i made Mc.202 Serie I. For the correctness versions it was necessary to modify the panels and rivets. Here is result:

Dawnload: http://www.mediafire.com/download/2b68tp0g9md4b33/MC202_4_Stormo_Serie_1.dds

Plane: Macchi MC.202 Serie I, M.M.7716, flown by Maresciallo Raffaello Novelli, 97a Squadriglia (9°Gruppo, 4°Stormo C.T.), Gorizzia - Merna, 18. September 1941

References: Picture bottom was basic reference of skin. But I've found that some cases must be wrong, for example national insignia on bottom of wings have a reversed color and the like. Changes what i did i was consult with Vespa (thank you again friend!)

Just found this from Zak's thread and I want it so badly! Looks unique and it must not be easy to paint it out.

Well I guess I wont be doing this one afterall. Good job Baron.

Hi Baron,

As always you made a good job with the last skin, but I must say that You based your work on a wrong profile.

In fact, all the profile from that book are printed with a wrong shade, which makes it look brown what, in reality, it was dark green.

The caption report right that the aircraft was in "Breda camouflage", and the Breda camouflage (as Macchi and SAI Ambrosini) used Nocciola Chiaro 4 (light hazelnut) and Verde Oliva Scuro 2 (dark olive-green), as you can read even in the previous pages of the same booklet.

The latest series aircrafts built by Breda were in a dense mottling of Verde Oliva Scuro on a Nocciola Chiaro base, so no brown were used on C. 202

Ciao

Hi Pag,

thank you for warning. I changed colours to Nocciola Chiaro 4, Verde Oliva Scuro 2 and Griggio Azzuro Chiaro 1.
