L3Pl4K Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Hey Guys, i try out the new patch. The engine oft both 109 stutter and cut off , if you fly on back. Test this with max fuel. Is this correct? Is there no benefit of gasoline dricet injection?
Finkeren Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Yes, but the fuel tanks are still depending on the plane not being upside-down all the time. Fuel is still pumped from the bottom of the tank, so if you fly upside-down for too long you should still starve the engine.
L3Pl4K Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) Maybe the fuel tanks and pumps could be the problem. I wrote yesterday a email to this guys http://www.flugmuseum-messerschmitt.de Today i got a mail, that my request is being processed. Mit besten Grüßen aus Manching und ein schönes Wochenende, Once i get the informalion, i will post in this fourm. Edited August 14, 2015 by Leplak
L3Pl4K Posted August 19, 2015 Author Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) I promise to post the anwser from Manching. Mit besten Grüßen aus Manching, So the fuel tank simulation should be ok. Edited August 19, 2015 by Leplak
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 (edited) It highlight another issue not simulated for any aircraft ingame. Not only the fuel circulation may be interrupted during inverted flight but also the oil, which can lead to a seized engine quickly. I have not seen any exact accounts of how long inverted flight uis sustainable. Its written in a manual for the Ju 88 Jumo 211F that inverted flight in general is forbidden due to issues with the engine's lubrication system, manouvres with temporary negative Gs on the other hand are allowed. Brano Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Yak-1 with M105PF engine could sustain max 5min of inverted flight.Even direct injection of fuel doesn't guarantee unlimited negative g flight conditions. Oil distribution is the restricting factor.
