avlSteve Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Always crashes at exit (Win 10 pro) (Not when starting from direct link, only from launcher it seems) Yeah, I threw a hissy fit about this a couple of weeks ago. I was happy to discover that closing the launcher fixes this (earlier in this thread). Then I got the game onto steam, which never crashes on exit now.
LLv24_Zami Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 (edited) Looks like my instability with Win10 was mostly caused by overclock. After lowered CPU frequency from 4.3 Ghz to 4.2 Ghz no crashes at all. Tested with BF4, BoS and Witcher 3. Edited August 29, 2015 by Zami
wtornado Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I am running a Nvidia GTX 660OC 2GIG I would have classic old driver videocard screen freeze. Then I noticed yesterday they when I went from Win 7 64 bit to Win 10 64 bit and that Windows kept my old Win 7 64bit driver by default and did not upgrade it. I had to go get the Win 10 64 bit driver myself. Works fine now.

wtornado Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Still am getting the screen freeze in multiplayer but it lets me click the ''escape'' and ''finish'' button to leave. Then in the task manager the IL-2 game is ''not responding''. I have to restart the computer there is no other way to get IL-2 to close.

Same situation after a few Win 10 updates it crashes to desktop and IL-2 is still not responding.One out of every 3 games. Had zero issues with Win 7 64 bit I almost regret installing Win 10. Boomerang Posted September 19, 2015 Posted September 19, 2015 Sorry to hear some of you are, or have had problems. I have tested BOS on 4 different PC's, (all running Win10 64bit Pro and Home), and have had no crashes to report to date. Made sure win10 was running stable first, after a fresh OS reinstall, (approx. 15-16 GB in size after some cleaning up), then downloaded and reinstalled BOS in a separate partition, (which was then copied and transferred to all other machines for testing). This included needing to install DirectX etc. on each machine. Some friends have also held of on the win10 update, as it's not been around long enough yet. I run other software, games and hardware on win10, (happy no problems yet, touch wood, I'm no PC guru). All drivers installed, (chipset, sound, lan, graphics, etc), were downloaded from the manufactures websites, prior to updating, then installed after all win updates. If there are any problems, ill be sure to share the info, even ask for help

Nicolaas5000 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Thanks Toleman, I experienced this problem since Windows 10 updates two or three weeks ago (had to alt/tab) to exit and then close the game. I have tried your suggestion and BOM exits perfectly!
