TWC_Ace Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 Im not sure if this is a sound bug or not but definitely something which should be looked at. So, every time I close to an enemy plane, If Im very close and firing my cannons and MGs, I hear very loud hitting sound like my plane is getting hit with large shells....whats with that?
Remontti Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Debris falling off from enemy plane and hitting yours? It's also known issue that you hear hits on enemy plane. While we are talking about sound bugs, I've issue with Fw190: When you fire a ground target, the engine sound cuts off when shells hit the ground.
Reflected Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 blackram: it's a known issue/ bug/ feature. The game accounts for the speed of sound, so when you hit an enemy plane, you fly into the sound bubble and hear the hits loud and clear. When your plane is hit, you fly away from those sounds, so you don't hear them nearly as loud. I wish it was looked at as it's not very realistic. Remonti: increase the max number of sounds in your startup.cfg. When the explosion happens, the number of sounds being played simultaneously probably exceeds your current limit and the engine sound is cut off. 1
Original_Uwe Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I can't believe this has been ignored for so long. The new 109 sounds are good...if only I could hear it over the sound of my rounds striking home.

Didn't think I could do something about it since it occurs even with highest sound settings.
