They have been friends since the 9th grade.. and started dating in their senior year.. They have been together now for 7 years. On Christmas Eve this young man came to the house..  showed me the ring and asked me for my permission and my blessing to marry my daughter. Of course I said yes.. he loves her.. he respects her.. and he is a very decent young man. I am very proud of my daughter and I am very proud that the both of them chose to marry in an age when far too many young people think that marriage is no longer necessary.

PHEW!!!! At first the title seemed to suggest something else... I'm so glad for your daughter! Congratulations, and may the Force be with them!  :biggrin:  :good:

Funny. The guy looks almost exactly like a well known politician here in Denmark.

I thought from the header "Oh-oh, another transgender thing..."  

 

It is amazing how in every wedding photo the bride always looks absolutely radiant, the father of the bride looks both proud and relieved, and the groom looks vaguely sheepish....

Congratulations. My wife & I have 3 daughters 3 son-in-laws and 5 grandchildren. Trust me it's wonderful!
