lindsayacklindsayackland Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Firstly I would like to say that the $69 dollars was a bit much but I played the old IL2 which was great so I brought this .I think though that I will never buy another steam product having to buy planes and the pain in the ass trying to activate my account I am going to advise people not to buy this product. 1
No601_Prangster Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Why not just get a refund from Steam if you're dissatisfied.
6./ZG26_Custard Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 It's really not that hard to activate. http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/9636-steam-version-guide/ See, even Jon Snow knows how to do it and he knows nothing...apparently 1
TP_Jacko Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I personally try to keep away from steam. But all I would suggest is give the game a go sounds like you just started it and if you liked the old IL2 you should get to like this as well. By the way the old IL2 had several releases we had to buy, Forgotten battles, Pacific fighters etc etc and the first time I started in al IL2 I could not take off . However the pay per aircraft is probably the way forward now for any sim due to the complexity of the modelling, no longer a basic hit box but down to the parts of a system within the aircraft and the effect of any damage
71st_AH_Hooves Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 I got to laugh at topics like this. You couldn't figure out something g simple like activating the game. So its a crappy game.......right. Someone like this has never experienced an MP 10 ship, on a raid to a highly contested ground target in PE2's. Like we had 5 or 6 times last night. Pure epicness! But activating things iz hard. 4
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 These posts, this late in development, confuse me. It's not like the ragers are just on this website. The negative stuff can be found within a few seconds of entering il2 BOS into google. What exactly were you expecting and how did the game fail to deliver against that? My suggestion is to take a few minutes to activate the game - put four or five hours in and then tell us how much it sucks. After flying it for hundreds of hours I will agree with some of your criticisms and refute others. As it stands you are yelling in an arena full of supporters. Not sure your experience is going to have much effect here. 1
Taffelman Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Personally I love Steam to death. Finally a place where all my games are kept safe no matter what. I can download them as many times as I like, on whatever PC I decide to use. Second it really wasn't difficult to activate either the account or the extra FW 190 I bought.
