To whom may concern:
Hi, it is been a while since my last visit. But I often get the new letter from the dev team.

I just want to ask. Can we now host at ease like the old IL-2 or not?
Because I have my own flight squardron and all of us felt disapointed by this game because only a handful of people can get the hoster account. That caused huge problem for us. Now we are forced to join some strangers' server with no influence on the server setup what so ever. For example, the other day, I was trying to train one of my friend who is a new comer in the flight sim. We joined someone's server, just as I was trainning my friend little by little, some stranger charged in and started shooting. How can I training my new comers in this type of environment? Once some people have told me that this game had only 12 aircrafts is because the flight sim community is getting smaller so the dev team has limited funding and will up more planes as things go well. Here is my question, HOW CAN I GET PEOPLE TO BE INTERESTED IN THIS WHEN I CAN"T EVEN SET UP A SERVER TO TRAINING MY NEWBIES??! We can't even setup a newbie friendly environment to do so.

I would like to know if we can get host account now or in the near future, free or paid. Either way would do. But if we can't even get one, then I am sorry, we have to move to DCS completely. That's why we haven't brough battle for Moscow.

You have to send a request to the devs for a dserver account.  Once you set it up, you can host missions with ease.  It does take some leg work on your part, but it's well worth it.  Search the forums for the instructions on how to set up a dserver.

Send a request? You mean go to Support and ask for one?

First of all, the request for host account option is no long available. Secondly, I have tried multiple times in the past but never heard back from them.

Have you checked your spamfolder of your email adress? I got a mail within 48 hours just using the copy&paste text from the dev diary where it was introduced.

Helo Flanker the instructions to gain a server  were found here

Attention!

To get your ticket processed please follow the following template precisely:

  1. login to your account at http://il2sturmovik.com/

  2. follow this link https://il2sturmovik...upport/request/

  3. put this as the ticket title: DSERVER please

  4. enter the text of the ticket as follows:

Hello!

Please, provide me with a special account that I would like to use to host a dedicated server. I know that such account would not let me play the game and that it doesn’t have planes on it, and I acknowledge that such account is the property of 1C Game Studios.

  1. send this request and wait for response;

  2. receive the account credentials and put them into the .SDS server configuration file.

There is not an option to select a request for an account but you select (other please specify ) and enter DSERVER Please in other in the  title of the request

Maybe you did this so far. All i can say is this did eventually get a new key it was not instant.

Cheers

The guy above me failed to mention how you will want to make a new account for the Dserver key

And look at Mission Making forum, there you can download "ready to use" COOP/Dogfight missions for the your DServer, for a rapid starter. Latter you deal with the ME.

Bear in mind that this is not "cut & past" of il-2'46 (easy) COOP servers way, but for the final purpose - fly in COOP or Dogfight with your mates, work. ;)
