Natti Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Alright, so I got myself an IR LED clip and I've testing it out in various flight sims now. In DCS headtracking with it works flawlessly: it's smooth as a baby's buttocks, no random freezing, no jerkiness, it just works perfectly. In IL-2 BoS, however... It just stops at random spots for a couple seconds before resuming tracking. This happens every couple seconds, making the game literally unplayable for me. I can't keep track of targets at all. Additionally, when looking upwards, the headtracking seems to stop at ~40 degrees or so, even though the tracking program is configured properly and it works without such a problem in DCS. Anyone else suffer of these problems? How would I go on about solving them?
LLv24_Zami Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 What headtracking software are you using? I use Opentrack 2.3 and it works fine with BoS. Some software had upwards looking restriction to 45 degrees IIRC.
Natti Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 I'm using FaceTrackNoIR, but it's not at fault here. It works perfectly well with DCS.

If you use FaceTrackNoIR, your upward view is limited. I used it before I bought BoS. The jerkiness and random stopping is another matter. FaceTrackIR worked well for me in BoS excluding the upward view limit.
