The Most Minor of Problems

As it stands, it seems if you are behind enemy lines, regardless of your aircraft status, when the session ends in MP you are given a loss/defeat. Even if you have suffered no damage and have plenty of fuel, simply becuase you were behind the lines when an arbitrary clock stops you get a loss. Can this be changed to something like you would not have made the closest friendly base in your current state when the clock stopped?

It seems the damage model is able to calculate that when you take a critical hit but your engine is still running (loss of icon/enemy awarded kill). This, on the other hand seems fair. Even when I land successfully in that state I can see the enemy pilot posting a claim IRL.

As I said, it is a very minor problem but it does annoy in MP.

I agree with you Murf..bit unrealistic and out of place in an otherwise excellent simulation.  Also, any chance of getting custom skins for the normal server ?

YES! That too.

Also being killed when the screen whites out at the end of a round and you're at low level but the plane keeps flying unmanned for 30 seconds. Annoying.

Never saw that happen.

I think both of those things have been carried over from Rise of Flight. The RoF campaign has a similar feature when exiting a mission before recrossing the lines.

if you are behind enemy lines + an arbitrary clock stops + you still fly + no matter what aircraft status you have = you get a loss

The time where this arbitrary clock count down are the best times where everyone try to get a fast kill. The best times to go easy kills fishing!

Everyone get a loss because nobody fly home to avoid a loss.

Question what is here Annoying? Only if someone care about the statistics. If thats the point. Just buy a second game set up a second PC go to a empty server and you will be the number one with the impressive statistics. :big_boss:

Yes, in RoF at least in the career mode if you finish your flight over enemy lines you're considered captured.

In MP if I understand correctly

If you're shot up and wounded, if you land successfully without damage you're not "shot down", landing in enemy territory I'm not sure.

If your engine is killed you're "shot down" right away.

Where are the multiplayer statisics?

States should be scraped and restarted at the beginning of each month .

I think it should also be like 19Fourty6 where if you bail out behind enemy lines it'll count as a loss regardless if your pilot survives due to being captured.
Would force people to have to glide back to friendly lines like in real life.

.. but of course with the new mentality of this game it'd probably be rare, people always seem to think they have to put the enemy aircraft into separate 8 pieces just to get a kill.

Regardless, it probably comes down to the ME. Server admins should look into that.

Trouble is that if you do this then you get players that will chase dead planes until they are completely destroyed so you lose either way. At least the current system gives you a chance to make it back and land, even if it counts as a loss.
