Is there no mission debriefing for non-campaign-missions? No Statistics afterwards?

 

If it is really like this, is there any reason why? I am kinda baffled.

RoF gives you a debrief score after a Quick Mission, but not BoS

Some custom missions (such as those by Veteran66) will give you some sort of debriefing, but the mission designer has to include that feature in order for the player to see it.

Sorry I am new to this game, my last serious flightsim was F117 A on the Amiga. :D

 

My question is:

What is the focus of this game? MP only? I am not interested in online play.

 

The thing is: SP is pretty much botched for me without the statistics afterwards. Just as an example: I played the Stuka escort mission (from the missions tab). I play without HUD, icons or markers - it is just more fun for me and BOS is an awesome simulation - I love it.

 

So I escorted these Stukas but lost them somehow after their bombing dive. I searched after them an found them right at the moment a russian fighter attacked them and shot one down. What a suprise (impossible with icons floating in the air)! I attacked the fighter, but therefore I lost the Stukas again. I got in two shooting positions and I think I hit him once (maybe not enough). Since protecting the Stukas is my main goal I leave the fighter be and try to finde them again - to no avail.

 

I end the mission without knowing how many Stukas survived, if I hit the russian fighter or not - I only know that I survived. This not knowing what happened is a little bit too real for me. I really would like to know what happened there and a mission debriefing would help a lot with this.

 

I also think that this is standard game fare for maybe 20 years know. Regarding the price and the quailty of the game I am really surprised to be left alone here as a an Offlineplayer. :/
