FuriousMeow Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 (edited) Is there any way to use the actual assigned prop pitch axis to control prop pitch when using manual prop pitch? It's really annoying that only the keys will allow me to control the prop pitch manually in the 109 and 190. Am I the only one with this issue? I can't be the only person who wants to be able to use manual prop pitch, and have it actually work off the prop pitch axis that works fine with the aircraft that don't have an auto system. At the top of climbs when the speed starts to drop the auto system is actually a hindrance and causes so many issues because it starts dropping the prop pitch which in turn causes the plane to wallow about like a German with a belly full of schnapps. Gl-l0st Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 I'm new to this game maybe 12 months of experience and it doesn't work for me yet, but seems to me that the whole "key settings in the game" and my warthog joystick and throttle reminds me of the Tom Hanks cliche. "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get" when a key is pressed. This is a major frustration and a big disappointment considering all the astounding positives there is in this game.
FuriousMeow Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Luke, Is there a technical reason that it hasn't been coded to allow the pitch axis to control the manual pitch axis that you know of?
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 25, 2015 1CGS Posted July 25, 2015 Luke, Is there a technical reason that it hasn't been coded to allow the pitch axis to control the manual pitch axis that you know of? It's probably because the manual pitch controls in the 109 & 190 were controlled by a rocker arm on the throttle and not a lever.
LLv44_Damixu Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I would also like to see the ability to assign an axis to the manual RPM pitch control.
