DLC planes not showing in game

this is why people hate steam...been a gamer for 20 yrs and can't figure out how to add my two premium planes...

 

shouldn't they be included when you spring for the $79 version?

all I did was purchase steam version and sign in the steam version using my pc version game sign in and works fine.

I bought the premium edition on steam but they were not included although it says on steam that they are installed

Even if you bought the game on steam, you need to create an account on the site and activate the code on the profile page. The steam page of the game even have instructions for you to do so:

Seems to me that if you buy the premium edition it should be included from the getgo...I have to say, this is one unnecessary and convoluted way to run a game.

You have to remember, that BoS wasn't originally a Steam game, and access to content has always (right back from Rise of Flight) depended on you having an account on the games website and buying and activating things through that account.

 

If Steam purchases were to be activated right away, it would require that Steam have access to your account information here and then have a plugin automatically go online upon purchase and activate the keys for you.

 

This is simply impractical for both reasons of complexity and safety.
