Feathered_IV Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Nice job Gus. I think there was a doped layer of fabric over the wooden fuselage before finishing too.

I can't wait to get home and load this one up. I found this model depicting the same Ishak. Note lack of wheel covers and yellow 27. This appears to differ from other sources, although a few other sources show the wheel covers missing. http://ipmscanada.com/ipms/member%20models/Lutz/Lutz_Page/I-16%20Type24.html 1

Elem Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Excellent skin as always from you Spektre. I hate to sound nit-picky but the slogan on the side looks like ЗQ. Is it possible to make it look more like За (For....???). Edited May 16, 2016 by Elem 1
SOLIDKREATE Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Sure thing brother. I think it may have said the usual "For Russia" or "For The Great Stalin" or "For Moscow".

216th_Lucas_From_Hell Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Spektre, thank you for taking such good care of the Ishak, these skins are beautiful! (By the way, is that last one from 45 IAP or 45 AD? I think I've seen this profile attributed to the 45th Aviation Division, not regiment. 45 IAP in June 1941 was part of the Transcaucasian Front and had been flying the Yak-1 since May 1941. It then went to Northern Iran in August, Caucasus air defense in October and then to the Crimean Front in 1942.) 1

SOLIDKREATE Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 As always Spektre, thank you so much for your brilliant work. you and your fellow "Skinners" add so much to this Sim. We do it for you guys! We don't look for fortune or glory. I just like making you all happy. I am building more as we speak. I want to start releasing skin packs for aspiring squadrons who don't have the time, money or skill to planes for all their pilots. The 34th IAP PVO will be the first I-16 to have a 10 x plane set. Then the 45th AD is next. 1
XQ_Lothar29 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hi all. Here I present, the i16 of the fourth squadron, with matriculation, CM 274 and drawing popeye. I have not found the pilot's name. rar File call Republican Download : http://www.mediafire.com/download/slrxtppy6p668of/republica.rar as we all are seeing, I am creating several skins on the Spanish Civil War, in fact I will continue creating all skins of those who find decent information. this is because I have intention to create a pack of missions located in the Spanish civil war I hope you enjoy the skin and we will continue working Salute Lothar29 3
HR_Tofolo Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Thank you Lothar. CM-274 was a Type 10 "Super Mosca" from the 4th Squadron as you already mentioned. It was flown mainly by Sergeant Manuel Zaraúza (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Zarauza_Clavero) who later flew with the VVS until his death in 1942. I would suggest some minor changes: first the colors, the greens and the reds need to be darker and the underside need to be more "blueish" than the AMT-7 but what's more important: the nose cone has to be white, which was the distinctive of the 4ª escuadrilla. Nice to see these skins from the SCW.

SOLIDKREATE Posted June 9, 2016 Posted June 9, 2016 Also you have to remember that what you see in Photoshop/Gimp and the Skin Viewer is not what you will see in game. It may appear to be a nice beautiful bright shade of red but in-game it is glowing almost and piercing your retinas.
