Nice share! One year ago I stumbled upon this on a YouTube playlist, I honestly watched the whole series through out the day and night, it was so good! Notice how the Battle of Moscow was literally nothing concerning the air battle though   

.. The Russians did a fantastic job with this show, I just wish they would make one for the Western European front and the Pacific, just because of this high quality! But  it's Putin's propaganda machine that would NOT allow that as this was initially broadcasted on Russian television and they literally have nothing on TV besides "Russia won the war". I have never seen any WWII documentary in Russia that gave anyone credit besides Russia, I'm not trying to start a flame war, nor am being political, but with the high quality production, seeing this series expand to cover the whole war would be sooooo awesome! Lived 2 years in Pokrovskoye, Rostovskaya Oblast.

But I highly recommend you to watch every episode, you will not sleep until you're finished.

There's a good reason for that. The first is for decades after the war the Russian contribution wasn't well documented due to the deteriorating relationship with the Soviet Union and subsequent Cold War starting soon afterwards. It was our own propaganda that told people in the US or UK that 'we won the war' for example and rarely mentioned the battles in the East. The second is the shear loss of life by the Russians during this time period compared to our own. For Russians this was a real life or death struggle and total war on their soil which the Western countries simply did not experience. They have a lot to be proud of in my opinion, they defeated one of the best equipped and trained armies the world has ever seen and I don't blame them for promoting their contribution, there's been plenty about the war in the West by our own propaganda.

It was very sobering.
