=EXPEND=Dendro Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Hi Yesterday on the 1CGS Normal server I observed two instances of I16's tags disappearing like when they are killed, but they are still flying around and shooting. I actually shot one and he was smoking and his tag went off, I went past to take on a yak then realised the "dead" I16 was following and shooting, but no tag. Maybe the damaged status is switching off the tag when it should be a kill status that switches off the tag.
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Tag switches off when the server determines the aircraft cannot make it to a friendly base. It's engine may still have a bit of life left. And/Or he could still be gliding and shooting if he had enough altitude or energy at the engine quit. I have successfully landed my AC within friendly lines after the server gave the kill to someone who shot me up but didn't actually kill me or shoot me down.
