Not Just Blue coloured missions Tracks too

Noticed last night that the effect described in missions is also present on older tracks too

 

Anybody any ideas or are all previously recorded tracks now toast?

i got it yesterday, and also an error message, seems that tracks are incompatible with new version of the game

The mission files are saved in the tracks. I suppose you could try to open them in the editor, set a cloud layer, save the file and see if the track is still playable. The new cloud layer won't be exactly the same, though.

Ok so I gave that a go, well I opened the .mission file within the track folder in notepad and edited the  CloudConfig line to include "Winter" as shown to me by Sim

 

CloudConfig = "01_Light_00\sky.ini";

.. to:

CloudConfig = "winter\01_Light_00\sky.ini";

 

That turns the snow back to white again but the replayed tracks are still incompatible (to an extent) with the new version. The screen keeps freezing and throwing up a "cannot load object box" to keep the track running you merely hit enter and away it goes for another short period until the same thing happens again and again and again and again and again and again.............well you get the picture.

 

If the track was something you really wanted to make a video out of then its not unusable IMHO, but you'd then manually need to remove all these freezes and error boxes in a video editor which would be a bit of pain but still doable.

 

So if it's something special I wouldn't trash it yet, its saveable to get a record of........................hell maybe a fix will come along to allow you to replay, who knows

"Blue screen" for everything in game play just popped up is there a fix coming or is there a simple fix I can do myself? I tried search for a solution but ended up on this thread....

You talking about missions or tracks?

 

As far as I know its just old missions and tracks and its just the snow. That's fixable by opening up the mission file and changing the config like I stated in the previous post. Its because BoM is coming so summertime maps so the terrain color needs to change.

 

Or is this something new?

Some ,although not all apparently, third party missions  are now all blue...well at least the ones I've tried...I did read somewhere that there was a quick fix for Veteran's missions but at the time didn't think I needed it,since both QMs & Campaigns worked just fine,but now I am regretting not tracking down & forgetting the info on the fix.Hoped someone here might help.

I don't know about 3rd party missions I'm guessing you don't get the .mission file which is what you need for the fix

 

It can either be fixed as above or going into the mission builder and selecting cloud config and saving too.

 

But without the .mission file I don't know of a fix
