71st_AH_Mastiff Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) wow talk about high detail models, these guys are very dedicated 3D modelers. So I was wondering why I couldn't find the oil cooler flap, that's because its in the intake pipe. Edited July 8, 2015 by 71st_Mastiff
6./ZG26_Emil Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I'll agree the attention to detail in this new plane is amazing, I love the cockpit. I wasn't expecting to particularly like it and I wasn't expecting to enjoy flying it now it's all I'm thinking about :D The one thing I love, is it's such great fun to fly aerobatics which is not something I would bother doing in the other aircraft we have, I also may be wrong but it's the only aircraft that seems to like doing a hammerhead as well and I was very pleasantly surprised when I found I could do one on my second attempt.
Finkeren Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 (edited) Another great little detail about the I-16, you'll notice if you bring 4xShKAS as your armament: Even though all guns carry 500 rounds, the wing guns will empty much quicker due to their higher rate of fire than the synchronised cowling guns, which have a rate of fire that fluctuates with propeller rpm. Not exactly a detail of the Rata model itself, the detailed modeling of synchronisation is a carry-over from RoF, but this is one of the few cases, where you really notice this nice little detail.
