They would not be balanced against each other but the IAR80 is relevant for BOS and the P38 will be at some point for another theater. The P40 is not revant for BOM nor BOS and the MC202 also very minor for BOS but are both cool planes and a great oponents for each other.

Things don't always have to be balanced - they certainly weren't in history.

Offcorse not i only though you ment that the P38 would outclass the IAR80 to much because you mentioned the Me 262.

Nope, just being cheeky about the "The aircraft didn't actually have to participate at the battle." scheme that the addons currently follow.

No skin off my back, though - I thoroughly enjoy the Fw190.

Not relevant? The P-40 flew 194 combat sorties in just the first two weeks alone in the battle of Stalingrad.

Like I did already write else where there  were a total of 12 Mc 202 on service on the east front for the Italian air force during end 1942 beginning 1943 that is all never more so the impact of this plane was at maximum negligible or I should say invisible at the scale of the air battle of the Soviet front. But it is a beautiful plane with is two asymmetric wings (one longer than the other).

I always thought they were not at Stalingrad, or was that the P 39?

P-40s were very much at Stalingrad, yes. P-39s, on the other hand, were not.

Oh goodness yes. Out of all the books, I can't find anything that shows the P-39's were in Stalingrad, though some were a little North at Voronezh. The P-39 is more relevant for Kuban.

126th IAP went from P-40C to P-40E in August '42 and redeployed from Moskau to Stalingrad in tune for the battle flying lots of low level IL2 escort missions.

iirc.
