Xenunjeon88 Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I'll keep this short by just stating that BOS campaign was lackluster at best and a glorified single mission generator at worst. The more I think about it, the more I realize why that is. What BOS does well is make you feel like you're really flying a fighter/attacker/bomber. What it does poorly is make you feel like a WW2 pilot. No continuity, deaths don't matter, no layer of gameplay beyond the actual missions. I use videogames like time machines, immersive expereinces that teleport me into major events of history, taking part as both an observer and a participant. And maybe I'm asking too much, it certainly isn't easy to create such expereinces, but I feel its worth a try... Rise of flight tries to make you feel like a pilot with it's career mode, making you feel like a participant of a squadron with mission boards and assignments, a character generator with history, newspaper clippings and they feel like nice but primative steps... I'm interested to hear anyone's thoughts on the matter. Do you want to feel like a pilot, rather than just feel like you're flying a very well made simulator? 5

Its true but i think that is more important to improve the " feeling like ww2 pilot" ( medals, promotions, squadrons, squadrons members, capture, victories etc.) instead of adding new missions for the new campaign. That is what is really missing but developers again improving something else. Its good but not what I really wanted (maybe most sp players).
