Bando Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I've been a crewmember in a Dutch navy lynx for some 13 years. Must have made hundreds, maybe thousands of landings on ships. Some were rough, most were not. FDO did a good job by waiting for the ship to stabilize and wave the helo down when he did. Roughest landings were usually after some rescue mission or for operational reasons (being far out, weather deteriorates rapidly and no alternate within a thousand miles). Good times though. Thanks for sharing.
Freycinet Posted July 6, 2015 Author Posted July 6, 2015 Thanks for your service Bando! - I myself did a stint on Danish Olfert Fischer class corvettes back in the early nineties: they also operated the Lynx.
