Reflected Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Can anyone please tell me if it affects the flight performance in game? Extra drag/ weight? Is it worth using it? Thanks!
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 1, 2015 1CGS Posted July 1, 2015 It's a very small increase in weight so yes, I always use it.

Finkeren Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Marginally. By far the biggest impact is the reduced visibility. That's the reason I never use it myself.
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Yes it should reduce topspeed by a few km/h. Personally I dont need it since I rarely use my 109 as Jabos and avoid headons in dogfights usually. The sacrifise of visibilty is another big factor. Edited July 1, 2015 by Stab/JG26_5tuka
6./ZG26_Klaus_Mann Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 If I feel like armored glass and Il-2 destruction I normally just take the G-2, which has armored glass on both ends. The F-4 needs to be as light and unobscured as possible.
unreasonable Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Worth having if you ever have to attack bombers!
1CGS LukeFF Posted July 1, 2015 1CGS Posted July 1, 2015 Worth having if you ever have to attack bombers! That's the best time to have it - if you know that encounters with 2-seat Il-2s or Pe-2s are likely.
