Hardware Fiasco

I'm in a sticky situation on my flight gear as of now. I am currently exclusively using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick. It's about time I expand my hardware, eh? Of course it is, but what to get? The decision is to either purchase a set of Rudder Pedals, or Track IR. As they are each so expensive (A bit overpriced even? Yes you, Track IR) I will most likely purchase them separately. I am aware how little justice twist rudder does to the actual thing, but the same goes with the hat switch. Any guidance from the flight simmers?

Get TrackIR. I would sell my TM Warthog or my MFG Crosswind pedals before I would sell my TrackIR.

It adds so much to your game experience.

As someone who recently bought both TrackIR and pedals at almost the same time, I can definately say: Buy TrackIR first. It makes all the difference in the world and is very easy to get used to, where pedals are just going to be a nuisance for the first few weeks.

In fact, I'll advice you to get a proper HOTAS before getting pedals. It'll make more of a difference and the Saitek X-52 is not really more pricey than a set of mid-range pedals.

Get headtracking first though. It really is a whole new world opening up for you.

TrackIR without a doubt.

Both TIR and Rudder peddles if possible but if you have to chose TIR is an absolute must

TIR....without the slightest doubt.

I would even sell my warthog and fly RoF with the mouse before I would put the headtracker aside. ;)
