Russia’s Intimidating 1930’s Aerial Warships Are A Sight To Behold

Wow. Can we have one of these?

"In the 1930’s, the Russian army experimented with the idea of producing planes that were giant fighting machines. Because jet propulsion had not been invented, the planes would rely on multiple propellers to get them off the ground. Modern artists recently acquired photos of what appears to be a prototype of one of the proposed flying machines. They created mock-ups of the machines with full color and detail."

Sorry, but what a stupid, stupid 'article'.

Presenting the pictures as something recently discovered, like the Kalinin K-7 wasn't well known already.

The bloke who wrote this obviously didn't even take the time to read the Wikipedia page on the K-7:

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalinin_K-7

Else he would know, that the plane was indeed airworthy and flew seven times before crashing due to a failure of the tail boom.

Much better info on this beast to be had elsewhere.
