And fix for Ju87 engine stuttering at TO power on ground. And fix for helicopter IL-2. And fix for non linear throttle on G-2 (full range) and Fw-190 (only upper range). And fix....

Fixed that for you,

 

Now that servers are hosted by players there's no need for limited player capacities. They can get rid of it all together to give max freedom to comunity hosters with servers good enought to run bugger missions with more players involved.

 

But as it is now, even 64 would be an appreciated step ahead.

One other thing that comes to my mind.

The leaderboards? Will they ever be done and functional?

I don't think 64 is a limit on the server, but most probably on the simulation itself. It already drives a zillion of things, and it's 32 bit - it must have it's limitations, and allowing yet up to 64 would probably bring problems ?

Well incase they didn't mess with the engine code during the last half year the answer is very likely no. Missions with 80 players ran just fine back in Oktober so I wouldn't assume it to be any different now.

 

Also the beautyfull thing of freedom is you have options. Even if many servers couldn't run more than 64 players hosters could decide to stay below that cap without issues.

I agree but I imagine they wanted to make sure the release went smoothly so probably erred on the side of caution. Blacksix said they were stress testing and would look in to increasing the limit.

Yea thats what they said after we played on servers with 80 people smoothly. It was a illogical move all together but be it, hopefully the functional MP will be retsored soon enought to enjoy the nwe summer maps.

We get 75 in our server with RoF and no problems.  I don't think BoS is much more complicated than RoF (from a server standpoint that is)

I suspect this is being looked at but seeing how development moves at a particular pace here I wouldn't expect it, or several other FM tweaks that have been mentioned, for several months. The Yak's flap issue is the only major one for me. The devs (especially with today's announcement) do seem to be paying considerably more attention to player input than in the first couple of phases of BOS. Really glad you got your 64 player limit now as well. Stoked Nate got his F11 back. I can't wait to see some new vids from him and the other movie makers. I might be happiest, personally, with the bubble distance increase and SSAO off.

 

Now bring on a GREEN map!!!!!

Those 64 players were really what BOS needed. I am really looking forward to this update.
