Reflected Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 i am currently on holidays in Ukraine, and in the train I caught the last few seconds of a movie trailer on the screen: it was some Lavochkins chasing Bf 109-s. I don't speak the language, and it was only a few seconds: does anyone know what movie this is? Looked like something brand new. I haven't been able to find anything. Thanks!
6./ZG26_Emil Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) It might be the trailer for the new TV series, the last one was about Lydia Litviak but I can't remember what it was called. Edit someone posted it below. 'The Attackers' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yr-Zz5HbO7Q Edited June 22, 2015 by JG5_Emil
Finkeren Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Go watch it, it's a great series. Just be prepared for some really disappointing mock-ups of Yak-9s fighting fake looking CGI Bf 109Es It's not portraying a historical regiment or pilots however. The awesome 'Lyda' character in the series is only partly inspired by Litviak. Reflected: The trailer you saw was likely from the new second season of The Attackers, which came out this year. I haven't watched it yet, but in any case you should watch the first season first. It's freely available on Star Medias Youtube-channel with rudimentary English subtitles. BTW: I find it interesting, that they would show such a series in the Ukraine given the current political situation
