=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Got my first FW190 MP expert mode kill yesterday.... I was lucky to get it on video. S! to the Russian pilot....
coconut Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Well done Poor guy must have wondered what happened to him. One moment he is merrily parading in his red yak, the next moment his aircraft is flying in three directions at once
unreasonable Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 Straight from the school of "never give a sucker an even break": I enjoyed that much more than watching all these 10 minute long dogfight videos!
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 20, 2015 Author Posted June 20, 2015 (edited) Thx boys. I must say the FW190 lead-launching system is lethal when it hits home. Immensely satisfying ... Edited June 20, 2015 by DendroAspis
Wulf Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) Very well executed bounce. Edited June 21, 2015 by Wulf
Cybermat47 Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 LOL, I always thought the Wurger's main strength was maneuverability... if I hadn't known better already, this would've convinced me HORRIDO!
SYN_Vorlander Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 Great work DA. The RED skin on the white snow is never a good idea. Nice kill.
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 (edited) I was at around 700kph and could still make final adjustments with relative ease. You just have to react damn fast though . Thx again. Hope to fly with you again soon Vorlander! Edited June 21, 2015 by DendroAspis
6./ZG26_Emil Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 I was at around 700kph and could still make final adjustments with relative ease. You just have to react damn fast though . Yep but that's the difference between the 190 and the 109. In the 190 you actually can react at high speeds but in the 109 the roll rate is too slow. Here's one of mine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxYRmTH4c7o
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 (edited) Phwooooar ! That was cool, Emil! The thing is that when you come from so high and so fast they often don't see it coming. Thanks for sharing. We can make this a FW190 kill/tactics video showcase. Keep em coming boys. Very nice flyin Dendro. Enjoyed your vids ! ~S~ THanks Jaydee. S ! Edited June 22, 2015 by DendroAspis
9./JG27golani79 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Nice flying Need much more practice in the BoS 190 as I pretty much suck with it. I´m getting better in the 109 though so I think there may be some hope for me :D
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Nice flying Need much more practice in the BoS 190 as I pretty much suck with it. I´m getting better in the 109 though so I think there may be some hope for me :D What helped a lot was LOTS of quick missions and normal mode multiplayer matches. It all adds up and is invaluable experience for when you get into expert mode.
9./JG27golani79 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Yeah, quick missions are pretty nice for training - I´m doing this with the 109 at the moment. I don´t like normal mode servers though cause it feels like every other player is coming for you :D
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Yeah, quick missions are pretty nice for training - I´m doing this with the 109 at the moment. I don´t like normal mode servers though cause it feels like every other player is coming for you :D For sure, but it teaches a lot about defensive flying, attacking and most importantly how to handle your plane against a smart human opponent. There are some guys on the MP servers that are virtually untouchable and you learn a hell of a lot just by flying with them and you quickly get an idea of how its done. Just get in there and stay high and try to stay alive. Once you stay alive look for opportunities like helping a teammate shake his tail clean and still get out alive. Often you will catch a player focused on getting a kill, you can dive in and drill him while you zoom up to safety again. Don't get suckered into a long drawn-out chase on the deck because you will get caught. Its more difficult as a red because its not easy to get on top of the LW guys, but it is still possible. Red is also fun because you can turn and burn on the deck and once a LW pilot gets suckered in, he is dead. You just have to switch off to the rude people and complaining and just be there to learn. I find that the constant and regular engagements are immensely effective to honing your skills. I often fly a round or two on normal to get my senses tuned in and then hop onto expert for the "real thing". Edited June 23, 2015 by DendroAspis
9./JG27golani79 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Guess I´ll give it another try on normal servers then Getting into action faster means more practice - yesterday I flew on the Wings of Liberty server but only got into a dogfight at the end of the mission. So not much practice there ^^ Maybe we will meet on a server sometime.
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Sure, that will be cool. I am no pro but if you think I can help you I am happy to team up with you on TS and the servers and we can watch each other's back. I am sure a few of the other guys will join us too. I also hated normal servers but they really taught me a lot about tactics, skills and aircraft strenths and weaknesses. You quickly see if you are doing something wrong when you see someone closing on you just by glancing at the numbers, it might not seem like much but you quickly can guage what your next move must be. Before you know it, you're applying it succesfully in the expert mode servers much more effectively. 1 hour on normal mode and you can easily have 20 - 30 engagements whereas on expert mode you can sometimes only get 1 or 2 - or even zero if its really quiet - in an hour's hunting.

=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Wooohoo! 1.50 was a tight deflection shot! LA5 kill was pure class! Well done! Edited June 23, 2015 by DendroAspis
=EXPEND=Dendro Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 btw, how do you slow the vid like that or are you using editing software?
Willy__ Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 btw, how do you slow the vid like that or are you using editing software? He did the slow motion just slowing the speed of the replay with in game commands.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Hi DendroAspis I just use the in game [ and ] keys for this, I'm not very good with Sony Vegas or editing movies etc. Thanks for the nice comments you gave me the 190 bug again :D
