BOS Teamspeak server and Turkish users

Recommended Posts

In the official BOS Teamspeak channels there has been for a while now plenty of Turkish users. Today there was like 15 users on multiple channels. Comparing their Teamspeak nicknames to players flying in BOS servers, I would say they use the Teamspeak for something else than BOS.

I googled a bit and found a Facebook-profile with BOS Teamspeak address and password. The site looks like they play Counter-Strike and use BOS Teamspeak for it. I took a screenshot of the page.

Here is a translation of the top paragraph:

8.3.5.133:9407 şfir to enjoy FREE Ts3 bos2014 Enter your room's zero risk of closure bitter international TS3 so nobody knows.

Sounds fishy to me.

Ha, I was wondering where all the "Italians" came from!

Ya I saw this a while ago. I'm not the best at TS security features other than passwords, but I have to publish the password so users can join. I'm open to suggestions.

Or is anyone in our community an expert on TS so I can clamp down and stop this kind of activity?

Maybe consider an in-game vox like in Aces High.  Players are automatically logged in when they join a server.  Might help with MP participation as folks don't need another software program and start hearing the other player's voices immediately even if they don't have a mic.

Just an idea...

Hi Jason,

Some of them are playing Knight online, I've asked one..I tried trolling them to shoo them away.. but didn't work out well...

I have also tried giving them different TS ip to use but I guess they really like your TS Jason lol..

Only way would be banning them. So you would need some admins on the TS.

I'll assign a couple Admin to keep the place under control. I'll look at more complicated measures when I have time.

Jason, if you are the Channel Admin, you can simply ban them.

I've had to do it on my TS3 channel because someone let a whole bunch of their friends know the log in details.

If they do happen to be real players then they will probably just come in here and ask to be reinstated.

I'd say show them the door.

Looks like they gave themselves administrator rights some how if they already locked a channel for themselves... Which means one of them could even ban us.

Silky,

I have no idea how they did that. I'll give you access and you can take a look.

so......just let them be? OFFS....WHO is paying the bill?  Give them a shout out, explain it simply, no more money this month fix it, and guess what? You own it again.

end of story

It may take a little while to get the desired result. If not, I'll look at other options.

I'm on the server now, and if you need any assistance in finding the magic bullet, let me know.

Jason, little bit offtopic but would it be possible to intergrate teamspeak into the game client using their sdk? Could you bring it up with Moscow for us? It seems as long as ts3 has to be launched as an external exe it won't see much paticipation from the users. Having it intergrated into the game gui and having your code handling user sign in name and password would also keep these people from using your bandwith. I think this would be a good solution for this problem and at the same time it would improve the online cooperation and thereby participation in multiplayer.
