Birdman Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Hello gents, Im a fairly new track ir user and I found a strange problem with the la-5. the pilot is sitting so low i can't see the reticle...It doesnt happen in any other aircrafts. The move head up key only works if Track Ir is disabled. I didn't find a solution yet. Any help would be vastly appriciated!
Finkeren Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Very simple: duck your head slightly, press the reset button for the TrackIR and sit up straight. Voila: You've raised the normal head position.
6./ZG26_Emil Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Or turn off TIR/put your hand over it the use the INS/HOME/DEL/END/PAGE UP/PAGE DOWN keys to set your preferred default view for that aircraft when you are happy with it hit F10 to save the view. When you use you centre button for TIR it should reset it to the saved view point.

What Emil states above, I would only add that you can leave the headset off to the side on the desk completely when popping into cockpit initially. Press F9 when the cockpit shows up move up view with the keys Emil mentions and hit F10 to sAve view. Then F9 to unpause.
SharpeXB Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 If you want to reset the default view for any plane, delete file \data\LuaScripts\snapviews\plane_name.svc For example, if you want to reset the default view in the Bf 109 F-4 cockpit then you've to delete file bf109f4.svc

Try to acknowledge the advice that has been given and post a short reply to say that the problem you had has been solved, because there will be others who may be having similar cockpit view problems and are also new pilots, Thanks.
Birdman Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Hello, I'm still at work and haven't had the opportunity to try yet. I will post again to let people know when I get a chance to try those suggestions. That being said, thanks for the tips gentlemen!

This.. the really nice thing about this is you can set a default view for each aircraft... a feature I had not seen before.
