flak sounds bullet impact explosions that cannot be heard

I gather this is an old problem that still hasnt been fixed but its a huge immersion breaking one for me. I have noticed that when flying over flak there are no sounds of explosions and often my plane will be lit up by another fighter and I wont hear a thing I have tried a few suggestions from others but nothing really works.

 

For a simulation this is very unrealistic and it also dulls down the atmosphere and diminishes the tension of what should be the feeling of flying through a warzone. As this problem has been around since november last year without being fixed its hard not to assume that the devs dont know how to fix it? Is any work being done on this guys?

 

Will this ever be fixed or acknowledged as for me it's really damaging an otherwise great game!
