Finkeren Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) Very beautiful but very haunting graphic. It tied my stomach in knots in places. Especially around 5:10, where it had just shown the entire German military casualties on the Western Front and then turned to the war against the Soviet Union, where the collumn just kept going up and up far beyond the numbers from the West, and then it pointed out that no: These were not the numbers killed on the Eastern Front, these were the numbers killed in the Battle of Stalingrad alone.... Jirokoh Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 This is just so impressive ! Even though, we all know the figures, they are so big, we simply can't imagine how much people that represents ! Same as FInkeren, I was just wondering when the figures would stop...
sallee Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 The figures are horrendous, but the true horror is the photograph of a soldier about to shoot a mother and her child. We always have to remember that a million deaths is a million tragedies and not just a statistic.
