Finkeren Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 (edited) I have bought my first set of rudder pedals (the cheap Saitek Pro Flight ones), and I'm having trouble setting them up for BoS. After installing drivers and software they seem to be working fine enough, but when setting up the controls in BoS I encountered a weird problem: It seems that the pedals have been assigned as 'joy0' which was already the name of my X55 stick, and now they are completely overriding my HOTAS which has completely ceased to function with BoS. Any suggestions on how to get the pedals assigned as 'joy2' or something? Edited June 6, 2015 by Finkeren
TG-55Panthercules Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) You have a couple of options here (at least): (1) try to get some sort of software applet that will let you re-assign your joystick ID numbers - I messed around with them a while back while I was experimenting with several different FFB joysticks and plugging things in and out all the time was causing Windows to renumber the devices and mess up my RoF controller assignments. I don't think I ever found one that really worked well for me, but I read posts where some people seemed to be able to get them to work. (2) just go into BoS control setup screens and re-assign everything, which should take into account that your controller ID numbers have changed, after which everything should be fine. Kindof a bummer to have to do, but hopefully you'll only need to do it once (if you don't plug anything else in that changes your controller ID numbers again). Sokol1 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Are software like this do deal with the issue - with variable success: http://www.autohotkey.com/board/topic/89279-ujr-universal-joystick-remapper-using-vjoy/page-5 For some games work, for other (e.g. Il-2'46) no. Windows enumerate josytick based on firmware VID and PID numbers. Easy way: Leave the pedal and joystick connected, open the \Imput\ "current.map" file with Notepad++ and use replace function replace all Joy0 by Joy1.

Is it in the \input\ Library of the game or what is the exact location?
