Bearcat Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The long awaited 4.13 patch from TD for IL2 1946 has been released.. :clapping: Patch 4.13 for IL2 1946 3
Chuck_Owl Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Is there a place where I can download an all-in-one patch or something and install it from a vanilla Steam version? I have been looking for a post with all patches linked, but most of the stuff I find has dead links.

I have not tried it but I hear it works.. make a backup of course.. and then just patch to 4.13.
MicroShket Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 New Britain and New Guinea for "quick flight"? Yay! Thank you very much for the link.

sallee Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Oh dear. I can't get it to start now! Was fine with the last update...
Chuck_Owl Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) ZOMFG... That B-24... I'm sold. Edited June 5, 2015 by 71st_AH_Chuck
TG-55Panthercules Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Thanks for the news - I've been wishing I could do some more carrier operations, especially since watching the Wildcats and Helldivers fly over the Potomac during the VE day celebrations last month, and this may give me the nudge to put IL-2 back on my PC. That B-24 does look tempting, too - saw some of them fly over D.C. last month too - just amazing.
Feathered_IV Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Fantastic stuff. Should be a fun weekend adding the latest modact and installing all my favourite mods. Couldn't be happier.
Luger1969 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Hi guys. Can anyone tell me what the content of 4.13 is. I have 4.12 installed with all fm+- 40 mods. To figure it out running properly and every full install is another 2 days with the mod enabler running. I guess the question is should i do 4.13 + or wait with 4.12 till most of the usual mods are out. Thanks Andre
Willy__ Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Yeah, it would be nice to have some change log and information about compatibily of the mods. It would take ages for me to reinstall everything again.... for the Nth time.

Feathered_IV Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I just figured out how to get SweetFX/Reshade working in Il-2 under openGL. Previously it only worked with the old directX 8 Haven't had time to devise some preferred settings yet, but here's how I managed it.Go here: http://reshade.me/#downloadDownload, Reshade 0.19.0 and extract the "ReShade32.dll" file and rename it to "opengl32.dll" This goes in your main 1946 folderNow download "Reshade + SweetFX 2.0" and extract Reshade.fx, Sweet.fx and the SweetFX folder and put these in your main 1946 folder too.You can now enable all the graphical tweaks of SweetFX by making the appropriate changes to the SweetFX_settings.txt file. Special Reshade presets seem to work too.Sorry it's not a winning screenshot. Still got to fiddle around with the settings, but you get the general idea. /*-----------------------------------------------------------./ Description /'------------------------------------------------------------/Game:Preset:SweetFX: v2.0 Preview 8 by CeeJay.dkAPI hook: Reshade by CrosireThis is a preview release meant to allow users to beta test SweetFXs 2.0 new injector called ReShade.More features, bugfixes and performance optimizations will come before release.Hope you enjoy SweetFX and ReShade.- CeeJay.dk/*-----------------------------------------------------------./ Choose effects /'-----------------------------------------------------------*/// Effects are listed in the order that they are applied.// Set to 1 for ON or 0 for OFF#define USE_ASCII 0 //[0 or 1] Ascii : Converts the image to Ascii-art.#define USE_CARTOON 0 //[0 or 1] Cartoon : "Toon"s the image.#define USE_SMAA 1 //[0 or 1] SMAA Anti-aliasing : Smoothens jagged lines using the SMAA technique.#define USE_FXAA 1 //[0 or 1] FXAA Anti-aliasing : Smoothens jagged lines using the FXAA technique.#define USE_EXPLOSION 0 //[0 or 1] Explosion : Scatters the pixels, making the image look fuzzy.#define USE_CA 0 //[0 or 1] Chromatic Aberration : Mimics the look of a cheap camera lens, by distorting the colors.#define USE_ADVANCED_CRT 0 //[0 or 1] Advanced CRT : Simulates an old CRT TV display. I wonder how difficult it would be to rework his new model to BoS standards.
bivalov Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I wish Sita could be convinced to build a Po-2/U-2 for BoS. I wonder how difficult it would be to rework his new model to BoS standards. yep, exactly. but his answer from last page - @для ила это " просто в изготовлении" ... бзс/бзм сильно другой уровень ... не уверен что потяну .. по этому и не рвусь . увы ...@
Sita Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 I wonder how difficult it would be to rework his new model to BoS standards. it's must be made from scratch ....
Juri_JS Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 it's must be made from scratch .... What do you think how much more time it would take to create a plane model, like the U-2, in BoS compared to Il-2 1946?
Sita Posted September 2, 2015 Posted September 2, 2015 (edited) in light of the fact that I don't know how to making model for BZS quality and i must learn that ... plus for BZS as far i understand person who want made a plane must make external model and pit at once ... it think it can take more the year for me ... one and half may be ... for that time i can make alot thing for il2 1946 ... so for now i'm not sure it that way of events Edited September 2, 2015 by Sita
Juri_JS Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 By the way, is there any news on the 4.13.1 bug fix patch? I would like to see my Japanese regiments lists corrected.
FlatSpinMan Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 I reinstalled and patched up IL2 '46 two weeks ago. I love the variety available, and so much has been added by Team Daidalos. I just wonder why they haven't upgraded the ground textures much. Some of the maps are still nearly that bright green smooth billiard-table look, and the Pacific maps are a real shame. Are there any plans to boost these? I'd like to fly just stock IL2 but it's the maps that are making me think about the modded versions again.
Juri_JS Posted September 3, 2015 Posted September 3, 2015 Someone was working on better ground textures, but as far as I know the project was never finished. The screenshots I've seen of the new textures looked very good.
