zyss Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 (edited) I'm a player of IL2 1946,several years, when the IL2 1946 becoming,I'm very hope that can play La-9 in game,it has Ta-152,Bf109K4,Mig15,but only has not La-9. The new IL2 series is coming one by one,BOS,BOM. But I only want the aircrafts which are build in late and past war. Maybe someone like the early battle of WWII,but I think more pepole are interesting in Ta-152,Bf109K4,F8F,and La-9. So please make a plan to work for these late/past of WWII propeller-driven aircrafts, let we see how powful about La-9 and other late/past of WWII aircrafts. Thanks!!! Edited May 31, 2015 by zyss
361fundahl Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 I agree! It would be great to try out each nation's best performing stuff before the jet era! (And slightly into it like the me262)
Finkeren Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I honestly think you're mistanken if you think more people are interested in post-war stuff. Late war on the other hand does have a certain appeal to some people, I'll admit that, but the scope is often fairly limited, when creating historic scenarios. Personally I'd love to see an installment of this sim that takes place during the 1944 Summer offensives (Bagration etc) Much more drama around that time than during the end game in 1945. The plane set would also be fairly well balanced: Yak-3s and 9s, La-5FN, Arrow-winged IL-2s and Tu-2S vs. Bf 109-G6 and G14, Fw 190 A/F-8 (maybe even an early Dora)
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 (edited) Fink, you don't want to see Bearcats vs Ta-152 C0's? I can wait til the game is fully matured in 2023 but I'd like to see it eventually. My interest in combat ends around the end of guns, however. MiG 15's v Sabres. Edited June 1, 2015 by HerrMurf

But if we set a imaginary historical background for the game, for example, the battle of Berlin occurred in 1946,not 1945,and the battle of sky was between La-9 and Ta-152,we can also use all final stage of piston engine planes,F8F,Spritfire XIV,La-9/11,Ta-152,even Mig-15 and F-86 to fight with others,I think it will very very attractive for many people, isnt'it?
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 While I agree, I don't need or expect it til we get through the major campaigns of WWII first. See ya in your MiG-15 around 2023 or so
StG2_Juuti Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) In a late war theatre Fw, Me and Ta are only strafing targets. Catatrophic fuel supply for the Luftwaffe. Edited June 4, 2015 by StG2_Juuti
II/JG17_HerrMurf Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I don't think fuel supplies or quality (other than octane, maybe?) have been modeled in a sim yet. Don't see it as a factor.
361fundahl Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Yeah really its just about having fun virtually shooting each other down with realistic flight and damage models.... We are definitely not going to re-create all of WWII with a computer game.
