Zak Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Dear pilots! Each and every day is getting us closer to the Early access program of BOM. The time has come to decide what camo patterns each plane gets (in total at least 100 skins will be released, 10 per aircraft). Last year's cooperation with players turned out to be fruitfull, so we'd like to invite you to join us in selecting those skins for planes in Battle of Moscow. Your knowledge can actually help us to choose better content for the game. The forum section where all suggestions are gathered can be found here: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/98-skins-battle-moscow/ The rules of participation are practically the same as they were with BOS: How to post a suggestion: - recall a cool-looking or a famous camo pattern of a plane that is announced to be in BOM - find the topic about the plane you have a suggestion about - prepare images of that camo pattern you're suggesting- publish the image(s) showing explicitly that very skin Keep in mind:- skins that have never been seen above or near Moscow during WWII are okay- camos with emblems or pilot's kill marks are okay- Polish, French, Italian and other national camos are okay This time we have months for gathering all the data you provide. The more cool suggetions we receive - the more are that chances to get cool skins in BOM. Final decisions will be made this summer. 2
Voidhunger Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I think that 2 skins for each plane will be sufficient. Summer and winter skins. With the lack of real units in the quick mission campaign its pointless to have more than two skins and the people will make their own skins anyway

Luger1969 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Hi everyone. Do you think we will we be able to use the bf109f4 custom skins on the f2? Some very nice f2 historical skins have already been created under the f4.

1CGS LukeFF Posted May 26, 2015 1CGS Posted May 26, 2015 @Zak, In regard to my beloved IL2, there are couple of possible skins in this thread: http://mig3.sovietwarplanes.com/il-2/il2-camo/il-2early1941/il2-early1941.htm All the information on Sovietwarplanes.com is more or less accurate and had nice examples of rare and characteristics skins. The improvised camouflaged versions that Mr Tessitori draw are quite interesting. I attached one picture of one early scheme that simulates an early IL2 with metallic wings and improvised camouflage(that was applied at unit level) as example. This isn't the topic to propose skins. 1
senseispcc Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Strange that the skins should be historical because two of the planes, the P40 and the MC202 where never near Moscow!
Original_Uwe Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Strange that the skins should be historical because two of the planes, the P40 and the MC202 where never near Moscow! I sincerely do not care. It's one step closer to a theater I'm interested in. 1
1CGS LukeFF Posted June 8, 2015 1CGS Posted June 8, 2015 Strange that the skins should be historical because two of the planes, the P40 and the MC202 where never near Moscow! It's been explained why they are selling planes that weren't necessarily at the front depicted.

Blitzen Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Ehm, try the skin subforum? I did think of that at first...but got fooled by this thread's title! In any case will do! Edited January 27, 2016 by Blitzen
