~S~ Everyone,

There is a way to defeat the "endless" AI Radio Chatter when in an environment where they won't stop squawking. Such as my WIP Multiplayer sessions that we've been flying this week. The simple edit of renaming the radio subfolder of the Audio subfolder in the data subfolder of BoS to "minus sign radio" (-radio) you will no longer hear the repetitive voices of the AI calling out, though you can still read them if the Server allows for it, and to no ill effect of the Sim. Also, it may be there is a small performance increase since the sim is not having to produce the sounds, it simply bypasses them. To revert, just rename the folder back to radio, easy peasy.

I thank you for this because the radio does my head in, but this just seems to block out the words but the static is still there if you get my meaning,  like the track is still playing minus the voices.

Is there a way so that I can disable everything so I can have a quiet flight?

~S~ Mick,

Sorry the late reply. So many things going on, on multiple fronts, ya know.

It's my understanding that the "Clicks" are hardcoded in the root program.

Someone, some where, mentioned this I believe, probably in a "Voice Mod" post.

If I Recall Correctly (IIRC) they mentioned this when experimenting with a "silence" file they created.

Also, to wit, there has been a request made for English versions, of the current calls, in that same thread.

Sadly, that would still mean being spammed of "I'm Bailing Out"... just with bad accents.

So, like you, I'm annoyed that we don't have a "Radio Silence" selection, for Ai, in the ME.

Blue Skies,

Cheers for the reply Jupp. :) Yep a silence option would be really nice.

Thanks Jupp, HUGELY better without the chatter.  A shame about the static clicks, but they're only about 10% as annoying as the chatter, so glass 90% full I guess.  :salute:

I disabled the AI voices as well

Some of those static sounds appear to be quite long...is that your experience?

This is my experience Emil, even though I don't hear the actual voices, the blast of static can last for a good few seconds and is really really annoying.

Hopefully one day we could maybe have the option to disable these, because for me at least, I find them barely comprehensible and pretty off-putting.

Phew at least it's not something I broke then!

~S~ Everyone,

Also notable : When BoS/M updates, it builds a new "radio" folder if yours was renamed to "-radio".

In that event, just delete your old -radio, and then, rename the new one, to -radio, and Bob's your Uncle.

Just thought I'd mention this here as a NOTAM since we are nearing another major update release soon!

Keep 'em Flying,

Just got it done, Thanks Jupp.  Do you have any feeling for which gives you the lowest dserver load between the following FMB icons (Deactivated Object or Deleted Object)??, also (Zone Check or Complex Trigger)??

WOW in QME that static is almost constant
