Jizzo Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Hey gentlemen, my x52 rudder twist was acting up so i decided to clean it and took apart the stick. Now my stick is working like it should again, but its really crazy squeeking when i use the yaw twist. So my question is, where must i apply the lubricant for the yaw axis stuff? Fast help would be really great, because i want to put it together again. I attached a picture of the opened up stick. Salute ~ Jizzo
No_85_Gramps Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 I'm not familiar with the x52. If you google "lubricating x52" a ton of info pops-up.
Sokol1 Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 (edited) This "squeaking" sound difficult is caused by potentiometer (as title suggest), most probable by twist spring and/or plastic bushes of mechanism. Disassemble and grease (NON petrol based grease) the parts. See in this video how disassemble this part: And since you are with the thing open, open the pot' case and clean resistive trails with isopropyl alcohol. See how open G-25 pot' case, the Saitek is similar. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/spiking-pedals-fix-clean-your-logitech-g25-g27-pedal-pontentiometers.247510/ "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
