Escape key stops responding

Hey ..... I just picked this game up during the sale and I'm trying to get my controls setup. Has anyone ran into problems where your keys stop working. Example: After running a quick mission (just a one on one) and landing sometimes, not always, the escape key stops working and I can't exit the game. I have to ALT TAB out and then click on the game on the taskbar and when the game comes back up the escape key works. 

 

Also, my key mappings to my G510 change also sometimes. I haven't really flew enough to see a pattern, but at times the keys I have set for mix and prop controls, will show as throttle controls. It's a temporary thing because I don't have to remap them or anything. The next time I fly they work again. 

 

And one more thing, while you guys are reading this..... Any tips on setting your views up with trackir? The last combat sim that I flew a lot was IL2-46 ..... I never had a problem when I wanted to get up close to the sight and then switch to a wide view to look around. In this game, I'm having a hell of a time getting them right. I mean I can zoom in and  zoom out but it just seems like it takes too long and when you zoom out you aren't getting a nice wide view. I have to F12 to a lower position and then I can see behind me better. Could just be me, it's been a while, but I don't remember having a hard time setting positions.

eso a mi me ocurre cuando dejo los sliders de los flaps hacia arriba o abajo, cuando lo paso a posicion neutral vuelve todo a funcionar

That happens to me when I leave the sliders of the flaps up or down , when you step back to neutral position all work

The escape button, that happened to me a few times during the pre-release and they said they fixed it. You might want to submit another bug report. It hasn't happened to me since though.

Depends on what stick you´ve got and how you configured the commands on it, if you´re using a setup program for the stick like TARGET for a Thrustmaster or SST for the Satek brand. This may happen if you have a button, swich or slider programmed with a "hold" command that is sending a command continually, in that case it blocks out the "Esc"key.

Essentially you need to put back any key, slider or rotary that is sending a continuous signal to the computer through the SST or TARGET software.

 

It happens to me with the slider and rotary that i use for brakes and Prop pitch.

 

Put them back to neutral and yout escape will work.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm using a MSFF2, so the only slider on there, is the throttle. I'm also using a Logitech G510 keyboard. I do have some functions, like prop, mixture, radiators and some others mapped to the G keys. It happened 3 times today, twice with my wheels under me and once I crashed. All three times I had to do the same thing, Alt Tab out ... bring the game back up and then the escape key works again. 

 

From what you guys are telling me, it sounds most likely a problem with the Logitech software for the keyboard. Or a crumb.
