need help: map / HUD settings

Hi All,

I only want see on the map the icons of planes, ... but I don' t want to see the icons on the head up display. Is it possible to switch on/off  HUD and map icons separately?

Hi Dauntless,

thanks for your help. This works when I use the "quick missions" and I set realism settings in the right way.

But in my BOS campaign if I am flying with "normal" difficulty I can only switch on/off HUD and map icons together when I am in the plane.

Is it possible to change these settings in an existing campaign?

I hope I use the  right terms because my game language is german and I don't know which words are used in the english Version.

I found out what I did wrong. If I use the big map (key O) instead of the transparent map (key M) it works as you told me.

'M' key don't bring a map, bring a "GPS" screen, and GPS screen without icons are "broken".
