CAN_Yeager Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) On expert mode where is the yellow arrow directing me too? I understand navigation, and the map on the how to navigate works great. Unfortunately twitch does not work for me so I can't watch the tutorial. I could probably figure it out if I played in normal mode, but i would rather just jump in to expert mode. Played on the TWB Eagles nest mission last night. It was lots of fun (once I figured out you have to firewall a Fw 190 too take off or it ground loops forever). But where is the yellow arrow telling me to go in the Eagles nest mission? Edited May 5, 2015 by CAN_Yeager
Jade_Monkey Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Short answer: nothing I think that on expert mode it's always pointing South West, by default. It's not pointing at anything in particular but I guess that the devs haven't gotten rid of it yet. That's what I've gotten from my experience but I might be wrong.

It's pointing to your next waypoint, at least in single-player mode.
Willy__ Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) The yellow arrow indicates the next waypoint, but in multiplayer is kinda useless, since the way the missions are design, there are no waypoints (not a problem though), but in Campaing it works. It was lots of fun (once I figured out you have to firewall a Fw 190 too take off or it ground loops forever). Did you lock your tailwheel by pulling back the stick ? I rarely have trouble with ground looping with the 190. With practice, you can easily take off with it: align with the runaway, lock the tailwheel and throttle up, (use gentle use of rudder/or little taps on the brakes to stay on the runaway if you have to) when you're about 150km/h release the stick, the tailwheel should get off the ground, keep speeding up and pull gently at around 200km/h, you now should be airborne, retract the gears, and when you have enough speed/altitude pull up the flaps. Congratulations, you're airborne. Edited May 5, 2015 by istruba
CAN_Yeager Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Oh I have to pull back to lock the tail wheel! I have assigned a key for tail wheel lock but on the Fw 190 it just sort of flickers. Good to know. I tried gradually increasing throttle and the was no good. However once lined up firewalling it seem to work good. Thanks for the answers all. Edited May 5, 2015 by CAN_Yeager

Unlike other planes, the 190 lock its tailwheel by pulling back the stick, like it was in real life, there was no button/lever for it. In other hand, the 109 has one, the key you binded should work in it. Cheers! Happy flying!
Sokol1 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Tip: Select the option: "Instrument Panel" - HIDE And in game press keypad , Del (or map it in joy' button/HAT).
