kashiide Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 hi sorry if my question seems dumb: i did not buy the game yet,i would like to know if its possible to make a local playing, with 2 pcs running the game connected together, with one which is hosting the thing, just like it was on 46: multiplay, create /join server
No601_Swallow Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) More or less. Two PCs (with one also running the "DServer" software - as well as the game) can connect together... BUT!!! You must do it, I think, over the internet. One PC must run the game and the DServer. The Dserver logs in and "registers" your server on the central Multiplayer server list. You can, of course, protect your server with a password, so only you and your friend can join, but I think it has to be "visible" on the multiplayer screen for all to see. Someone else, I'm sure, will correct me if I'm wrong. [it's not difficult to do, but it's more complex than good old IL2!] Edited May 2, 2015 by No601_Swallow
kashiide Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) thank you for the quick answer!! is there a good mission builder? Edited May 2, 2015 by kashiide
Dakpilot Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Well that depends, there is a very capable and highly features FME but it is not like the original IL-2 one http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/92-mission-making-and-mission-editor/ It is far more complex and not intuitive to use with a steep learning curve, however there is the possibility to use 'groups' and missions from others to more quickly create content. Ultimately it can offer much more that 'old IL-2' but it will require more time to learn it as it has more in common with RoF and little with what you may be experienced with. There is a simplified 3rd party Mission maker here http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/14672-release-simple-3rd-party-mission-builder-bos/ Cheers Dakpilot
