Jupp Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 ~S~ Everyone, I was having problems with loss of signal, "Nvidia Driver Stopped Working", & black screening. Went out and purchased a brandy new 120mhz TV/Monitor, thinking that would help alleviate it. This, after trying everything I know of, and reading forums around the internet. Still no luck... Until in desperation I tried something that was suggested amidst the same ole "reinstall Windows". Using, in this case, EVGA Precision X to downclock my GPU, and counter intuitively it works! Yay! So, I've never heard of this in practice, and yet, it's got me flying again. Could anyone enlighten us? Thanks in advance, Salute -Jupp-
SharpeXB Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Did you try reinstalling the driver as a "clean install"? Don't update through Nvidia Experience. Install a fresh copy and check "custom" install and check "clean install" that has resolved some trouble for me as well as the black screen.
361fundahl Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 You shouldn't need to downclock Isyoue computer clean inside and card securely fastened?
