Goanna1 Posted April 2, 2019 Posted April 2, 2019 (edited) Thought I should finally put my photo up as I’ve been playing/using this sim since the First iteration way back with the initial of IL-2 Sturmovik in 2001. Due to living in a rural location in Northern N.S.W. Australia I have hence to zero internet speed so playing online is a flicker fest and not to be attempted the only real downside of living in a rural seaside Australian location. I’m nearly 65 and was told to finally grow up, by my 22yr old daughter to who apparently knows it all as she is studying for a masters in coastal marine science; But secretly I’m so glad she can focus on that and also listened to me when I finished my environmental science/tourism management degrees to get as much study done whilst still young and not like me in my 50’s and her friends who work on cafes and hotels. Sorry I digress. Over the last 3 years my wife of 24 years has passed away and I seem to have developed lung problems with COPD so I wonder what I’ll be flying in the great beyond in a year or two (Maybe but I’m a strong old bugger with a history of beating back accidents and illnesses so stay tuned), Rave & Rant over signin out Paul aka Goanna1 Edited July 30, 2019 by Goanna1 4 11

19//Moach Posted August 7, 2019 Posted August 7, 2019 (edited) This is my face - I've been using it for over three decades now and still haven't had any notable issues! You may notice this is the exact same face on my avatar. This is because I do not actually own a vintage WW2 flying cap, alas, but I do know my way around photoshop Edited August 7, 2019 by 19//Moach 1 2
Jade_Monkey Posted August 8, 2019 Posted August 8, 2019 It's funny because in your avatar you look a lot like Linus from LTT. However the other picture has zero resemblance to him.

Yes, some cm more. A friend of mine had a 2nd generation one. With the roof open it was ok. With the Bücker you can make a loop and then you are properly stuck in. With the Mazda, constant vibration had to do that job. ? But it is a fun drive for sure!
Yogiflight Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 When Magnum fits in a Ferrari 308, everyone fits in a MX5. At least it worked for me in the first and facelifted second generation with my 189cm.

ZachariasX Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) One should take the space you feel you need. Ottfried Fischer („Der Bulle von Tölz“) had no co-driver seat in his BMW. Made as much sense as removing the seat in Tom Sellecks 308. But it is also a bit about what you are used to. Coming from an NSU Ro80, there is a bit of a contrast. He shows him proudly to a bunch of people he consider friends. Expose bring on other and mean , creepy things in to the table. This site is for a few dedicated simmers. All disagreeing with each other, and sometimes go to battles against one another for a minor misspelled sentence. But we been here long time. This is a naive attitude. And just because legions of people act careless on Facebook (modern disease) it's not allright at all. We are talking about the world wide web, which never forgets and where every one has access to. Even to this forum which is by no means a private area. And my opinion remains, that as long as the kids can't decide for them self, it's careless to expose them in the web. With exposing I simply mean, putting images of them into the web, nothing creepy or whatever I was insinuating. Edit: if the phrasing is bad, than I apologize. Expressing in a foreign language is not always easy and things may be get screwed up. Edited February 27, 2020 by Blooddawn1942 3
